The writing is beautiful and honest. O'Reilly and Pfeffer organize their material within a series of chapters, each of which (presented as a case history) focuses on eight exemplary companies (e.g. A simple act of random kindness earns him an invitation to a special place where all is seemingly perfect. It's very easy and very straightforward but leaves you asking, "what am I doing? why am I doing this? How does any of this really make sense?". Done.
