I am a practicing ecologist and I am working on a second masters degree in ecoliteracy education. I am not a test taker by nature, so when a friend suggested this book might be helpful in preparing for my ITIL Foundation exam, I decided to give it a try. It isn't the normal happy ending, but it's one of the best stories I've ever read. In the spirit of Douglas McGregor's book The Human Side of Enterprise, they seem to understand that if you begin by designing systems to protect against the small unmotivated minority, you end up alienating the motivated majority. Nicely done, good use of charts, figures & images to compliment the text.. Has lots of timeless information about farming and the struggles that people faced back in 1913 that still apply today.. The book literally fell apart in my hands the first time I looked at it. Discussion might be troubleshooting, variations, or more information. Instead it offers daily suggestions for food choices and provides recipes for many of them. Has a couple of surprises that will delight the little ones and make them giggle.Written and illustrated by Aaron Zenz. This book is an overview. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for the "real folk," and not simply beddy time stories (though some stories here could be used for that too!).
