Braja Das is Dean Emeritus of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at California State University, Sacramento. Dr. His primary areas of research include shallow foundations, earth anchors, and geosynthetics. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa and his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Das is a Fellow and Life Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Life Member of the American Society for Engineering Education, and an Emeritus Member of the Chemical and Mechanical Stabilization Committee of the Transportation Research Board of the National Research Council (Washington D.C.). He has received numerous awards for teaching excellence, including the AMOCO Foundation Award, the AT&T Award for Teaching Excellence from the American Society for Engineering Education, the Ralph Teetor Award from the Society of Aut

He is the author of a number of geotechnical engineering texts and reference books and more than 250 technical papers in the area of geotechnical engineering. After having researched The Loyalists from other reputable sources, the material in this book is so biased and full of propaganda to make it usable as a research source.I should add that this response comes from a person whose ancestors were loyalists who fled to Canada during and following the American Revolution.. Subsequently under various owners she was stripped of just about all of her furnishings and fittings, and is now mostly just a shell of her former self. I personally know Tommy,Paul,Skinhead and Earl I was around during the 57' wagon project even did some work on it my self . In reality, the majority of print is wasted on repeating the basics in every recipe and all the good information is left to the "See Also" references. I would recommend this book if you are interested primarily in solving different, special-case scenarios, since I don't think most foundation books will cover as many specific topics.. I also got my 13 year old daughter to make some simple "C" programming changes and download them to the Arduino.
